RAIN MACHINE + ANTI-POP CONSORTIUM AT BAM (SPONSORED POST)

Rain Machine + Anti-Pop Consortium
Part of the 2010 Spring Season and Sounds Like Brooklyn Music Festival

“The tunes sound a bit like a rain dance—tribal bells, trance-inflected refrains, the occasional howl—but one that's been fed through the post-apocalyptic fury of TV On The Radio. The result proves a compelling sonic exploration, knotty and exultant as ever.” –The Onion

Kyp Malone’s (TV On The Radio) much anticipated solo project Rain Machine is a defiantly personal and unflinchingly emotional mix of jazz, bluegrass, and rock. Describing the project as “a nearly full spectrum of frequencies audible to the human ear, a reflection of a variety of emotions and situations real and imagined,” Malone proves his newest venture to be unpredictable, essential listening.

Opening for Rain Machine is innovative hip-hop group Anti-Pop Consortium, whose stream-of-conscious lyrics and sonic explorations unite B-boy purists and experimental music lovers alike.
