RESOLVE TO GET CULTURED AT CARNEGIE HALL IN 2012

New year, new resolutions. Sure, last year's might not have worked out so well (you might have set the bar a little high with that goal to be more like Michael Phelps—three laps is still impressive, though; don't worry). But 2012 presents an opportunity for resolution redemption. And Carnegie Hall's got just the thing:

The Notables Prelude Program is a membership program for music lovers in their 20s and 30s—it’s cool if you’re 40, too!—and it's the perfect way to add some culture to your life... without breaking the bank.

The idea is that you want to see what the Kronos Quartet, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, and So Percussion have to offer—you really do—but for one reason or another, you haven't made it a top priority. So, to help bump it to the top of your list, Carnegie Hall offers the Notables Prelude Program, allowing you to get your culture fix for little more than you'd spend on dinner.

Year-long memberships are just $20 and give you access to sweet exclusives, like complimentary cocktail receptions and discount concert tickets, which are also just 20 bones. Upcoming performances also include the Boston Pops, the San Francisco Symphony with Michael Tilson Thomas, Lang Lang, and lots more.

With over 100 concerts in the concert season, the only question left to ask yourself is, what would Michael Phelps do? And I think we all know the answer to that one.
