2-FOR-1 ADMISSION TO FIVE STATEN ISLAND CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS

Did you know that the highest point in New York City is Todt Hill (410 ft.) on Staten Island? This month the Borough of Richmond turns 350 years old and to honor the island’s cultural and historical contributions, community organization SI350 has been named NYC & Company’s Culture Spot for June. Spend the day on Staten Island and find out more about the “forgotten borough,” at five important Staten Island attractions with this special 2-for-1 admission offer (good through June 30).

Hop on the SI Ferry from Whitehall Terminal in Manhattan (free!), venture past the Statute of Liberty and Ellis Island and disembark at the St. George Ferry Terminal to explore the Staten Island Museum. Then stroll through the Historic Richmond Town (a living-history village), and head to the New York Chinese Scholar's Garden at Snug Harbor Culture Center & Botanical Garden. Take a peek in the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum, which pays homage to a war hero and the inventor of the first telephone. And before heading back to Manhattan, stop on the south shore of the island to see the collection of African-American cultural artifacts at the Sandy Ground Historical Museum.
