HALF-OFF ADMISSION TO THE MUSEUM OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK, NYC & COMPANY’S OCTOBER CULTURE SPOT

NYC & Company, the official tourism board of New York City has been celebrating the city’s cultural assets all year with its Culture Spot picks. This month, the Museum of the City of New York receives the honor and is offering half-off adult admission through October 31. Stroll up Museum Mile (along Fifth Avenue between 103rd and 104th Streets) and experience the history and culture of the Big Apple through exhibits on fashion, architecture, photography and more.

Founded in 1923, the Museum of the City of New York connects the past, present and future of New York City. This month, witness the transformation of the city skyline in photos in The Twin Towers and the City. Be mesmerized by snapshots, drawings and more from Pritzker Prize–winning architect, Kevin Roche (who designed the master plan for the Met) at Architecture as Environment. And check out Cecil Beaton: The New York Years, a chronicle of photographs from throughout the legendary photographer’s career including drawings, costumes, books and magazines capturing the likes of Fred Astaire, Greta Garbo, Marilyn Monroe, Andy Warhol and Mick Jagger.

Also, until the end of the month, tune in to Annie Bergen’s podcast at nycgo.com/culturespot and follow @nycgo for trivia questions and a chance to win prizes, including free admission to the Museum. To take advantage of the Museum of the City of New York’s month-long offer, present this coupon at the admissions desk.
