Everyone needs to see a choral masterwork at Carnegie Hall at least once in their life – renowned music, a 100+ person choir, and a full orchestra on one of the world’s greatest stages. Well this is the summer to finally make it happen. Manhattan Concert Productions is proud to offer the skint subscribers $14 tickets to see masterworks at Carnegie Hall this June.
Masterwork Festival: Gabriel Fauré & Jake Runestad
Monday, June 1 – 8pm
Join us on June 1 for Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem, often referred to as the “lullaby of death.” Fauré’s chilling yet comforting score frames death as peaceful rest, a deviation from other Requiems. Joining this classic on the program is Jake Runestad’s Proud Music of the Storm. Based on the poems of Walt Whitman, Runestad’s piece invites audiences to connect with the natural world and advocates for its protection.
Two masterworks. Two Eras. Two stories. One spectacular evening.

Masterwork Festival: Elaine Hagenberg & Taylor Scott Davis
Carnegie Hall
Monday, June 8 – 8pm
MCP’s Masterwork Series continues on June 8 with Elaine Hagenberg’s Illuminare, the composer’s first extended work. Hagenberg’s breathtaking score tells the timeless story of darkness giving way to light and hope. Also see Taylor Scott Davis’ Magnificat, a striking tale of Mary’s journey from a lowly girl to God’s chosen one.
See two modern works for the price of a single ticket. Don’t miss out!
