“When I Meet the Wizard” is a thrilling musical journey that bridges Broadway magic and classical masterworks. Broadway stars Caroline Bowman and Nikki Renée Daniels, along with the Broadway Series Junior Company, bring the dazzling Land of Oz to New York City with beloved selections from Wicked, The Wizard of Oz, and The Wiz, celebrating courage, friendship, and the power of believing in something beyond the rainbow.
The Madison Junior HS Orchestra opens the program with the triumphant sweep of Holst’s Jupiter from The Planets and the sparkling brilliance of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5. The Floyd Central Wind Ensemble follows with vivid storytelling in Michael Markowski’s City Trees and the soulful lyricism of Florence Price’s The Old Boatman.
