thurs thru 3/27/2022: peter max: cosmic advertising: a new exhibition at poster house offers a rare glimpse at the early work of peter max, the most commercially successful pop artist to emerge from the psychedelic ‘60s. a selection of max’s trippy graphics, which have adorned everything from the manhattan yellow pages to the body of a boeing 777, will be on display thru march of 2022. poster house (flatiron), $12 general, $8 students/seniors, free admission to all on fridays. >>

thurs thru 12/8: pamela council: a fountain for survivors: nailed it. artist pamela council unveils an 18-foot-tall fountain covered in 400,000 acrylic nails, the latest in their fountains for black joy sculpture series. duffy square in times square, free. >>

thurs thru 10/24: electric’s west side story (on the lower east side): emmy-winning playwright, director, and performer william electric black takes a wide-ranging look at the classic musical west side story, its place in history and today, and the issues it presents. theater for the new city (east village), $18 general, $15 students/seniors. >>
