Join Manhattan Concert Productions at Carnegie Hall on June 10th for an evening of sophisticated sounds: Lux!

Joseph Svendsen will take to the podium to conduct the Masterwork Festival Chorus and New York City Chamber Orchestra in an ethereal rendition of Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna. This five movement masterpiece utilizes sacred Latin text to depict different iterations of its central theme, “light.” In Lauridsen’s own words, light is “a universal symbol of illumination at all levels – spiritual, artistic, and intellectual.” The Masterwork Festival Chorus will feature singers from around the country, joining forces to help celebrate this magnum opus.

As a complement to Lux Aeterna, the evening will feature a performance from Reddam House Umhlanga College Choir, a premiere choral ensemble from Umhlanga, South Africa. Performing traditional African repertoire, this rousing choir promises to inspire audiences by sharing the cultural and social backgrounds that make up the colorful tapestry of South Africa.

Secure your tickets now with promo code TSK43137 and be a part of an evening that celebrates the power of music to inspire and unite us all.
