Welcome to “BUSINESS BUSINESS BUSINESS”, a Circus about Business. 75 minutes of unhinged corporate satire, blending the chaos of THE WOLF OF WALL STREET with the elite artistry of CIRQUE DU SOLEIL, only at Circus Academy New York, May 15-17.
MC’ed by the Ringmaster/CEO, this show follows a struggling business-consulting firm trying to land a game-changing client by EOD. Every department of the firm will be presented as a circus skill: Contract Negotiations on Aerial Silks, Marketing Spins through Chinese Yoyo, and of course, a seminar in HR Do’s and Don’ts expressed through Burlesque. All beneath a bevy of corporate jargon.
At the heart of the show is the central theme of celebrating the people beneath the brands. The suits and assistants who tirelessly toil to make the wheels turn.
Speaking of people, the cast includes Collin and Shane Miclon (The Burlesque Show at the Borgata Hotel), Lindsay Culbert-Olds (Teatro ZinZanni), Dia Seskin (Bindlestiff), Emiko Nakagawa (Headliner, World of Dance New York), Troy Lingelbach (The Box, House of Yes), Will McGowan (Sophie’s Surprise Party), and Rosie Cheeks (Marvelous Mrs. Maisel). The show will feature an original score by Ben Scheff (Cost n’ Mayor’s 11 to Midnight), original choreography by Quinn Carpenter (Hideaway Circus’ Stars Above), and direction by Jacob Tischler (writer of LIQUID, a punk rock circus, with New York Circus Project).
This show is presented in partnership with Circus Academy New York, an acclaimed flying trapeze school and circus hub in Brooklyn, NY. With 40′ high vaulted ceilings, the space will be transformed into a saturated sound and light extravaganza each performance. Popcorn, beer, wine, and other refreshments will be available for purchase.
