WAYWARD: A love letter to other possible lives
The world premiere of a new solo storytelling show.
At 30, Andrea Jones-Rooy was miserable. Despite earning a Ph.D. and getting a faculty job, her life felt small, lonely, and sad. Desperate for a change, she accepted an unusual job offer to help build NYU’s new campus in Shanghai.
There, she stumbled into an underground circus world of oddballs and misfits living by totally different rules. And the only thing more surprising than finding out that sword swallowing and fire eating were real was realizing that she felt more at home there than anywhere else.
But what happens when you discover a version of yourself that doesn’t fit the life you’ve built?
Wayward is a funny, improbable, and unexpectedly moving story about feeling lost, finding your people, questioning the rules, and discovering you’re capable of more than you ever imagined.
Come for the strange tales. Leave wondering what else might be possible for you.
Learn more about Wayward here.
One night only. Friday, Nov. 6, 7PM. In person at Caveat and livestreaming everywhere.
SPECIAL OFFER: Use code WAYWARD-SKINT for $10 off in-person tickets!
